Good narrative!

I enjoy these old kingdoms type of story.

Fantastic game! Both jam themes are represented really well. The controls, visuals, and sound design are all excellent.

I especially loved the idea of finding your way through the darkness. The camera work and tutorial are also implemented very thoughtfully. We might even borrow some inspiration from a few of your ideas!

I’ll definitely show your game to the rest of our team!

It's a very interesting game. We played the jam theme very cool, and we also made slow burning, as a health gorenje. I was impressed. I liked everything about this game. We even managed to make customizable controls, it's cool. Attention to detail is great here. Well done, good luck with your future projects)

Okay, you really nailed it and your planning is so good that you were able to make good mechanics, good level design, be thoughtful of the theme and with lots of interesting turns through the gameplay. One of my favorites games this jam!

I really appreciate that you liked my game, thanks a lot for playing.

But tbh my planning was far from good lol, the project just ended shaping itself like this as I went developing it and thinking of what could work and what I should avoid considering the amount of time I had left. I am just glad the result in the end is something I can be proud of and people are enjoying.

I really liked your level design. It's honestly one of the best in this jam so far. The core gameplay mechanics are also really well put together.

I think it could be even more interesting if the amount of candle wax you have left had a stronger effect on your character's light, since that would make it work better as a visual indicator of your health. That said, I can also see how making the light dimmer could have an impact on the game's difficulty because of how much it would affect the visibility of the environment. Which would likely cause a lot of trouble.

Thanks a lot for playing

I also had this idea but ended deciding against it because I felt the game was already taking a turn to being harder, and knowing myself and my past game dev experience I tend more to making things harder than they should be... so I didn't want to risk it lol
