Loved the random change in the music when you’re getting close to release day, and I’m proud to say that I think I won the game, lol

This is a nice game! I loved all the situations the developer can get in, they're very relatable. With this game, Jump Force 2 can finally be real. Great job!

This game was very meta! Great narrative that I'm sure we can all relate to. The decision and economics mechanic was really well done - I was torn between the two choices at various points. As I got towards the end at release date, the screen started shaking, my health was failing, and I started getting anxiety... you really captured this emotion perfectly. Bravo!

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it :)

Really lovely Idea! It reminds me a lot of game dev tycoon. The way you took time to write every decision is awesome, I have been playing for a while and I can´t really say anything bad for the game its fun and very creative. Great work dude :)

Thanks for the kind words!

That was a lot of fun actually, like an unexpected introspection in disguise. I'd be very curious to see what people generally decided to do, if the data happened to have been collected - I assume it wasn't.

Loved the 24fps situation, I truly wanted to call it a feature, The Order: 1866 would had approved haha!

Great job with this, simple, clean and fun. Also fun to have managed to release a game, wowie! ;D

Developer

Thanks I'm glad you liked it!

A fun interpretation of the jam theme. I was actually expecting to see a game built around the idea of developing a game while running out of time, so it was nice to finally encounter something along those lines.

The Reigns-inspired gameplay works well for the concept, especially the need to balance different resources while making progress. I recognized the influence even before seeing it mentioned in the description, which was a nice touch.

Overall, it’s a solid implementation of the idea and a nice little jam game.

super cute game! i loved the art of all the indie games so much :) i found a bug halfway through and couldn't beat it, but i loved it regardless!

Developer

I'm glad you liked it! Sorry about the bug, I tried to test it as much as I could but I was in quite a rush near the end of the jam.

Such a sweet game, I really enjoyed it, it felt really nice and polished with a lot of nice details like the music changing and the screen starting to shake (literally what was happening to me when I was finishing my game for the jam 1 hour before deadline 💀), I am surprised how many actions there are, I had 2 playthroughs and got almost no repetitions, it really feels like your decisions have a lot of weight, you've got that really good. And the art was awesome, really just a great game all around! Good job!

Thanks so much, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I really liked the creativity behind this game. The concept is very original, and you did a great job creating an interesting experience around the theme. The idea of using the countdown as part of the game structure is a clever approach. Congratulations on your submission!

I loved teaching the dog how to code so much. And I had a good laugh when he got a job in programming and offered me some money. 5/5 full rating 🔥🔥🔥. I made a little itch.io collection called "GEMS" of games I find in this game jam that I view as absolute gems, and this belongs there, so congrats 💯💯. (ps, love2d is a tuff framework , I tried learning it a while ago as my first thing I make games with that I commit to, but I've been on and off with engines/frameworks forever trying to learn to code. I'm using pygame rn, and used it to make my first real game(that I submitted to this jam) but i definitely wanna try love2d more once I get more experienced with general programming stuff🔥)

Developer(+1)

I'm glad you liked it, I appreciate all the kind words :)
I like Love2D a lot so I would recommend it if you're interested, I learnt it by following a tutorial online called "Game Programming Basics in Lua and Love2D" by Brook Miles and also if you own Balatro you can change balatro.exe to balatro.zip and then open it and look at all the source code which is quite useful for seeing what a proper, big Love2D game looks like.

Submitted(+1)

I've considered doing something like that, with dissecting a proper game. I don't own balatro but I've been considering getting it for a while. And I might get it also for that purpose. Thank you for the tip :)

This game is peak. The choices felt good even tho they sometimes hurt you. My game "Beast slaying cotton Bug" got really popular but I had to delay it. Personaly I would unite the color palette a bit more and change the font, because some of the letters are not that well readable, however its such a good game. Great Work!

Developer

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it.

I like this. The customization is great. And it feels sort-of realistic!

My only complaint was having to press f11 to fullscreen, and even in fullscreen the game had a bunch of empty space to the right and bottom of it?

Developer(+1)

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. Sorry about the resizing issues, I had to do graphics a bit differently than I would normally in order to get the rotating cards as smooth as possible and in the process of trying to get the web version working I can see I have accidentally made the game only scale to multiples of 640x360 so the empty space will be because your monitor isn't a clean multiple of that. Unfortunately I can't fix this now but thanks for pointing it out.

Really loved the visuals and audio of this! Very cool little game :-) had fun with it!

Really fun and also kind of depressingly relatable. Best game I've played in this jam so far! Somehow there wasn't a single mention of coffee though

Thanks for the kind words!
