I mostly tried to use long cuts to get as many objects at possible, focusing on trying to get as many different sizes as I could so I could do any objective that appeared. The objectives where tricky though, I usually had too many pieces on the board blocking my way to the objective OR the number was too high. I went for the objectives whenever they felt achievable within 2 cuts. My closest run I had ~300 floofs left

Makes sense, thanks for sharing!  If you feel like trying again, we treated the corner objectives like actually *the* main way to play the game, and felt in hindsight like our tutorial could have stressed that better--so you may have more luck trying to score on nearly every cut or get to scoring next.  Those corner scores also give you a cut back, removing plenty of the pressure.  Either way, thanks for playing!

thanks for the tip, i managed to win with 5 cuts left :)

i think the reason i de-prioritised the objectives was because they're often impossible. like when the objective is the same size as your biggest floof. as far as i know, there’s no way to move a floof without splitting it, so the only way to achieve the objective is to re-combine or get rid of everyone of that size so it gets rerolled.

Glad you were able to win!!

This makes a lot of sense, really appreciate the feedback - we're thinking about expanding / improving the game after the jam and we'll definitely consider how to improve this exact aspect.  Much appreciated!
