Really nice and well-polished game, good job! Also nice work on the tutorial, a lot of games get that wrong.
Wow I think i might have spent almost an hour on this. Super captivating, and incredibly fun game loopI got all the way to day 64! great job!
Waw. . I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thank you so much for playing.
Beeutiful game, fun game loop and it's nice seeing a tutorial , good job! 🐝 :)
I really like this! I'm a sucker for anything with a good skill tree. It would be cool to introduce more hazards - like maybe rain that last for a few seconds? You could telegraph it with cloud shadows rolling in?
Thank you.. there are alot lot more can be done, like different maps, seasons, hive building, I have i deas, lets see If i work more it, hopefully I will <3
Being a bee is my new full-time job, great work!
really solid, chill little bee game!
Really nice change of pace, this one. I’d played a stack of jam games before I got to yours and nearly all of them are keyboard games, so sitting back and playing something that’s all mouse felt properly restful. That’s not nothing after a week of this.
The loop clicked for me the moment I got the upgrades that speed up nectar collecting. Before that I was going through the motions a bit, after it I could feel the days getting more productive and I kept wanting one more. That’s the moment the game sells itself, so if you’re ever looking for somewhere to put more juice, I’d put it right there and make that first speed upgrade feel like a bigger deal than it does now.
Which upgrade path were you hoping people would go down? I went straight for collection speed and I’ve got a feeling that wasn’t the interesting one :)
Thank you so much for playing. I'm glad you enjoyed it. The collection path is the essential ones. But the way I designed it is that all the essentials are on left and the fun things are on right side of the tree, and I put the Legendary flower in the middle which can be unlocked by either path. The left side of the tree makes he player efficient active player, and the worker bee tree makes the game more chill and idle. There are 2 worker bee nodes which can give upto 12 bees, that's when the game feels really alive and the colony self operating. Ofcourse you need all the flower upgrades as well. If you have got to that part. If you haven't consider playing it full, people have completed the game in 60-70 days of game days.
Thanks for playing ❤️
Nice simple game loop. The lack of actual death is pretty interesting for a rogue like, as the genre is generally know for being very punishing. Cool game!
Love this game, very addicting loop with trees and upgrades, great job!!
I only stopped playing because WebGL decided to crash (CURSE YOU CHROME) - very addicting game loop!
Thank you so much <3
I was hoping for more engagement as the game went on but at no point did it present any challenges to overcome. There was no punishment for only gathering a couple of honey each day other than just having to press next day every few seconds. I also think the art in general could have been a bit more cohesive, I am unsure why the tutorial had different font to in-game and the menus were high-res vs the rest of the pixel art. I played this on stream and gave my thoughts there: https://www.twitch.tv/nebsterlive
Chill but cool game:)
Very cute! I appreciated that you included tutorial in the game, it really helped me to not feel lost at the beginning 😄I thought the art and the sounds were really cute and the game overall had a really nice level of polish. The upgrade system was nice, although it often felt kind of obvious what to pick (I typically just dumped my honey into the speed/capacity upgrades, since I usually wasn't getting all the flowers or filling my capacity in a day). I really liked the theme! Nice job overall!
Thank you so much for paying. I'm glad you enjoyed it <3
