How does your game fit the theme?
Our game turns time into your most valuable currency. Every action you take costs precious seconds. You must constantly balance risk and reward: do you spend time to upgrade your arsenal, or do you rush into battle under-equipped to beat the clock? It is a frantic, tactical race to reach the Captain's cabin and claim the legendary treasure before it vanishes forever. Conquer all five treacherous levels, and an unexpected surprise awaits you at the very end!

The ending screen is the best reward I could have dreamt of, MJ would be proud!

Argh, a thousand parrots!

Interesting twist to tactical combat, I especially liked how time is a resource for both upgrades and actual actions!

Really cool pirate themed turn-based tactics game. I can see this being expanded upon in the future.

Cool concept, fun story and great art - nice one!

There’s definitely something here. I played the game all the way through, experimenting with various upgrade paths. I eventually settled on upgrading damage until I dealt 50 damage per hit the very first time the upgrade menu appeared, after which I never bought any upgrades or used any abilities for the remainder of that run. Dodge chance is kind of annoying because you can really get cooked by the time thieves if you roll poorly, but honestly the game is short enough that restarting a few times isn’t too punishing. I liked it.

Also, the Fish is overpowered.

I liked the idea of pirates and the fact the ship was under bombardment, so you had to finish the game in a certain amount of turns. Having said that, maybe I didn’t progress too much into the game to unlock it, but there were no interesting abilities which would make the turn based, strategy oriented combat interesting. All I had was a hit all around me, a normal hit and a retaliation. Would’ve loved to see some more varied abilities, so it would warrant the turn based strategy format. Still, a very nice submission, thank you!

The time-as-currency combat is a really cool idea, and the pirate art looks great!

Really impressive work—the combat and level-up systems felt surprisingly complete for a jam game, and I liked how spending time shaped each turn. The art and music were great too, though the cannon sounds became a little distracting after a while.
