How does your game fit the theme?
There is a timer that counts down then spawns new enemies and a counter that counts down how many lights are left to collect

We are a team of two. We made everything except the music, which we got from incompetech.com by Kevin MacLeod who does some amazing work.

Nice pacman variant, liked how the difficulty naturally scaled with your progress and having to rush into the safe space in the center to drop off my light. As people have said, it'd be better with a faster game speed as it took a somewhat frustrating amount of time to regain my progress after a death.
It reminds me of Pac-Man. Some feedback: you should increase the speed of the game; it feels too slow. With a little bit more work, this would be a great mobile game. GREAT JOB !!!!
WOW! Very very very impressive first game jam. Very impressive game jam full stop. The art style and animations are super clean, well done! Great job!
The art and music are great! I felt that quite often I was put into quite a few unwinnable scenarios, perhaps a slightly faster player or less frequently spawning ghosts might have solved this. Congrats on your first jam entry!
Thank you! and thanks for the feedback :)
It's supposed to be somewhat difficult, but having unwinnable scenarios too often isn't ideal. We agree that she should move a bit faster and yeah, perhaps having the shadows spawn slower might help lower the chance of those situations. We were thinking of adding items to collect that would give you speed boosts and flashlights to scare the shadows, buuuuut we ran outta steam :p
I realy loved the music. It's just cute as the graphics /art style. The movement speed of the chracter and the ghosts felts a bit too slow tho. But other than that , I loved everything about it. GJ
Thank you so much!
We're glad you enjoyed it. I wish we could take credit for the music, but we got that from Kevin MacLeod.
The speed does feel a little slow. Thanks for the feedback!
Funny coincidence, I found another lantern game in the jam 😄 As fellow lantern developers, I had to give this one a try.
The art style is super charming, and I really liked the idea of only being able to carry one wisp at a time. It made planning my route a lot more interesting than I expected, Congrats on your first game jam too, that’s a really solid first entry Hope to see you in future jams! 💜
The game is fun and the art is stunning. I was sad there was only the one map!
First of all, congratulations on your first ever game jam! I loved the art, animations, and overall narrative you guys got going on here. I will say the player speed feels a little slow, but given the size of the map, its not a deal breaker. I hope you guys continue to make games and participate in more jams in the future. Congrats!
This is really cute! I loved the art and overall vibe. I wish we could see the ghost’s line of sight, since it wasn’t always clear how close I could get to a ghost before they’d start chasing me.
Nicely done!
I LOVE THE ART! So Cartoon Network coded. But the game is too hard, man, those ghosts, they are trying to murder me.
Lovely art and music! Had to wait a while for a path to open but I was able to finish the game :}
Overall the game itself features a very unique concept a bit confusing in the start but doesnt matter much and the artwork and the music is also very good.
For some reason I can't collect past the first wisp ;-; but love the art so much, such a cute game!
