Even with no clear lose condition or restraint, it feels delicious to play. The animation, the bounce noise and the crunch of kills... very satisfying meat on this. Not to mention a fun little upgrade screen. :)

The beginning felt a bit slow but after a few upgrades this becomes very juicy. The game become stupidely fun when you have all the upgrades. The game feel polished and have great art. This was nice.

Great art and game feel! It was a simpel but fun game.
I enjoyed myself alot and always tend to lose myself in these games.
Great job!

The music is great and the sound effects make killing enemies so satisfying!

I really liked it! I even got all the upgrades and I wanted to keep playing! Great job, I think you should expand it post-jam! Also, I liked that you can't lose or receive damage :)

I really enjoyed the visuals and juice this game had! I think its a game that could easily be expanded on post-jam!

Good base to start from. Some thoughts on potential improvements if you want to keep going (excluding adding new features like progression systems, fail/win con, enemy variety, etc):

1) Replace the upgrades that increase the wave duration (More enemies, ghost enemies) with more interesting upgrades. Upgrades should increase the player's ability to clear waves

2) Add more vertical vision. This will allow players to plan their moves better and hit enemies more effectively, making this game have a strategy element beyond just reaction times.

3) Add combos, and massively increase the distance enemies bounce away from you. These two changes together with #2 will make for a super satisfying gameplay loop where you need to bounce off of separate enemies to keep your combo going.

Very cool game but its kinda strange that you dont have a way to lose. the art and the audio are incredible

This game has so much juice! Awesome game!!
I think its cool how the small things like making sprites bounce and adding good sound to them make it feel so much more polished than it would've been otherwise! Good Job!!

I am glad to see I wasn't the only one who thought of using count dracula as an interpretation of the theme, but I got too scared thinking it might be a stretch, you are braver than me
amazing game

I feel like as long as it's easily explainable, the more of a stretch your idea is, the better

I'm a sucker for incremental games where you reach a point that points come in like crazy, it was super satisfying to get all of the upgrades and the little sound effects are so cool! Favourite part was getting insane amounts of crits in a row. Very well done!

Cool looking game, liked that in the tutorial segment it forced you to use your down attack by disabling left/right.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but without any way to actually fail/win the upgrades all seemed a bit pointless...

Glad you think it looks cool. The reason for not being able to lose at all is because this game is more of an incremental game than anything, so you can't really lose progress.

I was gonna add some kind of win state for getting all upgrades or something like that but I ran out of time

Fun game, reminded me of Downwell. Also appreciated the wordplay on "count down". I think the game should have been a bit more challenging to get at its full potential.

Developer(+1)

Downwell was the main inspiration, so I'm glad the game reminded you of it :)

I didn't want the game to be challenging because it's mostly just about getting upgrades to get more money for more upgrades until you get all of them or get bored
