The voice-overs during the crisis got me to laugh out loud. Very clean UI, good looking game!

A really good game!

You feel a bit lost at first because there’s so much information to take in. I didn’t understand why I couldn’t play certain cards. x) But after about half a game, everything becomes much clearer.

Just one small suggestion: during crises, it’s hard to see your stats clearly, especially the time remaining. It would be great to have a way to check them so you can make better decisions.

Developer

Thank you so much! I’m really glad you enjoyed the game.

Having access to real-time statistics during crises would definitely lead to more informed decision-making. In the next update, I’ll make sure to improve the user interface so that key information is always easy to access. I’ll also work on making the information clearer and the overall experience more intuitive right from the start.

Brilliant premise, and executed really well! Was a little confusing at first, all that information was pretty overwhelming, but a great game :3

Really really great, well polished, I could sink a lot of time into it I feel like. Only thing is I wish I could undo choices before I click end turn - I accidentally approved I didn't want and I think it changed my game. But I could see this being a full release. Great job!

Developer(+1)

That's actually a great suggestion. I hadn't thought about it during the jam. For a future version, I'd definitely like to add both a reroll mechanic for the available proposals and an undo option that lets you change a decision before ending the turn.

Really great game. It made a nice change to play something that game me time to think about my choices, there’s been a lot of timers this jam

Loved the concept! And building your own story. I didn't do so well at saving the world :D

That was a game , the quality and quantity are unbelievable to be honest , amazing game , well done

Thank you so much! I'm really glad you enjoyed the experience.

Wow, that was an experience. It reminds me of this saying "it’s easier to imagine an end to the world than an end to capitalism".

I love the ui design by the way. Just the font size could be a bigger in my opinion, it was a bit hard to read on a laptop.

Do you plan to make a bigger game out of it after the jam? I'd be interested to see it.

Developer

You're absolutely right about the font size. Improving readability will be one of the very first things I work on once the jam is over.

And yes, I definitely plan to keep developing the game! My goal is to expand it with more events, more meaningful decisions, and new gameplay mechanics to make each playthrough feel deeper and less repetitive while staying true to the original idea.

The UI is really nice. well done!

Let's go, I made it to 50 turns! Where do I turn in my proposal to elect me dict- I mean ruler of the world? Amazing take on Countdown, very thrilling game too!

Developer

Hahaha, congratulations on making it to 50 turns! I think you've definitely earned a seat on the council. I'm really happy you enjoyed the game and its interpretation of the theme.

The game transforms a serious global issue into an exciting and meaningful experience. It makes you think, plan, and understand that even small actions can create a huge impact.

Very cool! It kind of stinks there's no win condition, but it is a novel idea and very well executed for a gamejam!

Developer

Thank you! I'm really glad you enjoyed it!

The lack of a win condition was actually a deliberate design choice. One of the messages I wanted to convey is that, once humanity starts the countdown to its own extinction, there may not be a way to stop it completely—only to slow it down.

In the game, your goal isn't to "save the world," but to make difficult decisions that buy humanity as much time as possible. I wanted players to feel the weight of those choices and reflect on how our actions today can shape the future.

Thanks again for playing and for the thoughtful feedback!

Hi, cool, my brain related it a lot to Reigns and terraforming mars.I do feel like the game repeats a lot as it currently is but I can understand it as being a limitation of the jam of course, I'd be excited to see a more content-full version

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! I’m really glad it reminded you of Reigns and Terraforming Mars—they’re two fantastic games.

You’re absolutely right: repetitiveness is one of the main limitations of the current version. Since this is the first game I’ve ever made—and also my first game jam—I had to keep the project fairly simple to finish it in time.

Now that the jam is over, I’d like to continue developing it by adding many more events, decisions, mechanics, and content, so that every game is more varied and engaging.

Thanks again for the feedback and for trying out the game!

The game is fun but how can I win

Developer

That's actually the core idea of the game: you can't truly win. Humanity has already crossed a critical point, and your role isn't to save the planet, but to make difficult decisions that delay the inevitable. Your score is measured by how much time you manage to buy for humanity.
