A unique take on tower defense! Choosing how many enemies you can handle with the randomly dealt towers was an interesting twist. The visuals felt a little plain, but I enjoyed the gameplay. Nice work!

How does your game fit the theme?
"The theme Count Down is represented by the 10-tower placement counter, the life pool, and the core mechanic where players set their own enemy counter to predict their setup's limit."

Without that count, this game is addictive and we’ll end up leaving to play lots of lvl! I also really like the fact that we can choose the number of characters we can send, apart from the lvl ;)
I haven't played a tower defense game in this jam yet. Weird because it fits the theme so nicely. Well done.
Amazing way to incorporate "Count down" into a tower defense game. It took me a while to determine just how strong each of the towers are but once I did it was such a fun time guessing and praying with my set up. One thing I would add is showing all the towers you're going to get in the level before you place them all so players can plan out their set ups better. But again, great work!
first of all thank you for playing and nice to hear that you had fun ^^
yeah i thought about it, if the player should see all towers or choose by himself or just getting random tower. both ways have their pros and cons ^^
but for the jam i choosed random, mainly because it was easier and faster to programm xd
I really like this idea! It's quite clever and unique! I also like how you don't get to choose which towers you get, which can throw a wrench in your plans (especially if you placed a tower somewhere a future tower works way better). Great work with this game!
Super fun game! Was a really cool spin and brought a different experience. It kept me really engaged and brought out that sense I've only got from BTD. I think it'd be really cool to see how it would integrate into a tower defense economics system! Worth continuing development. Great job!
Good idea. it would be great if we have more levels and different designs for enemies and towers.
Fun game. it's cool to see how we both went for tower defenses and went in such different directions.
I like the idea of guesstimating the number of enemies you can clear, it would be nice if the towers weren't random but you had to use some sort of currency that enemies drop, so each wave you start increasing the estimation. Great concept, good job!
I thought a random tower might be better—otherwise it could get too boring if you always build exactly the same way... plus, it was easier and faster to program that way. ^^
But yeah, I agree there's more that could be done there; I just had to make a lot of compromises to get it finished in time for the jam.
Still, I'm glad the concept is otherwise well-received—thanks for playing and for the feedback! ^^
yeah i only mentioned that the enemies get stronger and faster every 10 seconds in the descriptions.... thats not enough;
but the music is actually supposed to speed up every 10 seconds too, but I think that part is a bit buggy—or maybe it’s just hard to notice.
And yeah, it’s hard to guess things at the start, but I didn't have a solution for that in the short time I had—other than say just "play more rounds" ^^
But thanks a lot for playing and for the feedback ^^
Super interesting concept, the whole enemy prediction adds a really fun challenge to your designs.
