It was a really fun game. The rules are simple, and the locked-number mechanic balances the difficulty perfectly.
(And let me brag that my high score was 688!)
Oh damn! Just sniped the top spot at the end! I have to update the high score now :)
Nice and Fun, good gameplay loop, enjoyed playing it :D my highest score was around 100
Really fun. Love the chill vibe and polished art. Great work!
Really cool stuff! This feels like it could have a lot of depth with strategy that I have not yet explored. I always enjoy very nuanced mechanics hiding under a simple premise; not to mention the game is very polished.
trickier than it looks. really love the minimalist UI and the background, looks really professional.
This is an incredible game. The mechanic you came up with creates very dynamic and interesting puzzles that actually feel self-inflicted. Very decision driven and relies heavily on player skill. Flawless use of the theme as well, bravo.
It would be really helpful to be able to move the pieces around that you placed in the current round, or at least have a reset round/undo action button in case you misclick or see something new while setting up your chain.
Seems like if there are 2 chains tied for longest chain it ends up picking the lower numbered chain (IE it would choose 1-2 instead of 5-6.) Potentially it's using a different tie-break method, and I just got unlucky. Also thinking about it, that may be better for strategizing going forward to the next level, but score-wise feels kinda bad in the moment.
When there are many chains of the same length, then it picks the one formed most recently. If there are still multiple options, then it's basically random. I did consider doing highest scoring, but then you lose the option to try and control it a little to control the area cleared.
It might be something I look at after the jam, though I'm already planning on creating an option allowing you to move the tiles in a round then lock in (you weren't the first person to request this!), and I think this makes the chain forming logic a bit more obvious, or at least I hope so.
Congratulations on the great work! The game is very well made, with a really good idea that fits the game jam theme perfectly.
I really enjoyed playing it. The mechanic is very interesting and makes the gameplay experience unique.
Great job on the creativity and execution!
Hope you get the chance to play my game too.
