Please do not create fake accounts/ratings to boost your own game (or tell your friends to). Because of our rating queue requirement it means that if you create a new account to try to boost your own game you create a bunch of fake ratings that negatively impact other participants. If we see future issues with your account you may be permanently banned from jams.

Thanks

Oh sorry when we finished our game we've sent it to friends and family (some of which probably created their first account in itch.io), we didn't know that sharing the game with loved ones was forbidden we'll be sure to share after the jam ends in the future.

Nice use of puns in all of the levels! Good job.

Developer(+2)

I'm so glad to hear that, my teammates tried to play the importance of puns DOWN but I never gave UP and added a pun to every level start, win and lose screen.

Great job, especially in such a short timeframe! The concept is strong and the wordplay is fun

Thank youuu! We just wanted to make a game that you can't put DOWN!

The game's premise immediately made me want to see how those ideas were reflected in the mechanics, and it delivered. Everything feels well thought out, from the tactical gameplay to the presentation.

Overall, this is a very creative project and an excellent piece of work. Congratulations on making such a fun and memorable game. I really enjoyed playing it, and I wish you the best in the jam!

I think I'm about to cry thanks to your nice words. Thank you so much! It makes us very happy that people were able to enjoy our game  <3 . We'll try to level UP in the future and make even more ambitious games/puns.

Did you ever play that holiday present game as a kid where you'd pass the parcel left or right based on a little story that was told by someone at the party? "Mrs. RIGHT LEFT her home and turned LEFT RIGHT away..." - the tutorial and dialogue definitely gave me that feel. I really liked that, though, it's a fun way to interact with the theme.

Hex based strategy though, gimme! I loved all the different interactions and mechanics, and honestly could see this developed as a larger game. I'd be DOWN to play that! The later levels did get a bit tricky, and on the first level it took me a bit to realize what I was meant to do - so maybe a bit of an arrow pointing to the element you need to drag UP, or a hand drawing attention to it may help. I kept trying to drag on the arrow soldiers themselves, but realized that was not what I was supposed to do.
