Amazing prototype! The movement is smooth, and the art style is giving a very soothing feeling. Though I was a little confused at the beginning, as I did not know which area was playable, and the switching tools took me a while to get familiar with as well. But once I got used to it, the gameplay loop went fluently. Great work! I am looking forward to seeing the final product.

I really like the art style so far for the game, and I would agree with including a bounding box like Dave S. mentioned. I'm really looking forward to how this turns out, though!

Very cool little game so far! I would add a bounding box so the player cannot run off the screen and got lost. With the addition of some background music this would really give off a cozy little vibe!
