Love the art!
I had the same issue as the other reviewer did, the character stops jumping at some point. Each time I reloaded and played the game again I could jump for a bit then it stopped working. Otherwise I really dig this.
This is a very well built little prototype. Personally I found the floating text a bit difficult to read or notice because of the coloring, but other than that I really liked the art style. Even the tree is blowing in the wind! The animations and actions are well executed and plays as it should! Well done!!
As other reviewers have said, I really like the art style. It is clean, but still hand-drawn, I really like that. There are a lot of different seed types and NPC problems (50) which is the only place I would be concerned about scope, but if it is a matter of scripting then that should be pretty straightforward. Well done work so far!
This is such an original and creative concept, wonderful idea! This fits the theme perfectly and is definitely one of the more educating and interesting documents I have read so far! The system idea you have of "the player acts in one world to see the effect in the other" is a strong idea, it sounds like there is some mystery or randomness involved because the player will discover the result of what they have done at dawn, is that true? This genuinely sounds like a game where the player can learn quite a lot, especially about a unique ecosystem that most people are not aware of, nicely done!
Haha, "Team Beans", I love it. Great concept! I always appreciate a good shop simulator game, and I think this works very well for the theme and also educating players about solving nature-related problems. I had never heard of Trash Goblin before until now, but upon looking at it that is exactly what I pictured in my head based on your description. I like this idea because it includes a lot of problem solving and creative thinking for the player, and also opens up the door for a wildly creative narrative with the incoming NPCs.
This is a good concept, but I wonder if the scope is too great. There are quite a few mechanics here that would need to be implemented in one month; player health, plants mutating, animals and insects, food from the plants, different weather elements. It sounds like a lot and I would consider potentially scaling back. Besides that I think this is a good idea and I like the story as well. I am looking forward to seeing this game finished and am excited to play it. I just noticed there are 8 people on the team, maybe this is the appropriate scope then!
Solid concept! A cozy plant greenhouse is definitely a theme people will enjoy, and I love the idea of using a gacha machine for the seed populator. This GDD is really well written and laid out, a lot of the mechanics and UI has already been sorted out which will make development a lot easier, well done! I also like the direction for the art and tone this team has chosen, low-poly and non-textured is a smart move and is going to make production a lot faster. Plus that low-poly feel will work very well for a cozy game. The score of this plan is great because it is a simple enough idea to finish but can easily be added on to if there is extra time, and the production plan is laid out well.
