The wristwatch countdown is such a good little panic machine—normally I check the time for lunch, not my scheduled demise. The eerie low-fi world and repeating-life mystery pulled me in, tho the similar areas and camera made me lose my bearings a few times. No sound on my side, but the atmosphere somehow still worked.

Developer

The issue of getting lost is something I would love to solve in this game's follow-up. As being new to blender (and making 3D games in general) I didn't know the best way to make the buildings. The sound is not an issue on your end, more so on me just forgetting it, and then it being too late to find. Still great that you were able to enjoy it!

I really liked this one! despite its simple graphics, the narative is solid. I also made a game about waking up!

Developer

Ah cool! Sadly I couldn't check yours out during the voting period as I was away from my computer... Will still check it out!

Really cool idea. I like the kind of laid back nature of it. You're on a timer, but it also feels like you have all the time in the world to experiment and fail. More varied and interesting architecture would be nice, so you can more easily navigate the world and remember which areas are which, much like how the various NPCs all have distinct looks while still being similar.

Developer

Hi, your criticism of the architecture is a point I felt too once I was "finished". Because I wanted to try and do all assets by hand, mainly to learn Blender; once I had gotten the important gameplay assets, the buildings just didn't have enough time left to be distinct and were sort of rushed. This issue is planned to be fixed in this game's successor.

The art had a fun eery feel. And the watch displaying the time remaining was a nice touch

Nice! Cool idea, and I really liked the stressed feeling from having a death timer on my arm:)

Very nice idea. I really like the idea of a watch that ticks down to the time of your death. Would maybe be interesting to see this concept iterated on in the future?

Developer

Hi, this is indeed planned to be iterated on in the future in a successor game. However, when I'll get around to it is unknown as I do have a few games already on the backburner. I expect to maybe look back at this concept in... 2 years maybe? As one year has to go to a school assignment, and another to finish the main game I'm working on (Umi Sailer). Though it may be longer.

Really solid world! Felt really engaged. As other have said sound would have upped it a level but solid stuff :)

I like the world building and narrative! Would've been nice to have sound and graphics but I understand the short jam period, just glad you were able to get something out. Nice job!

if anything, i enjoyed looking at my wrist watch for the countdown to my own demise :) camera issues persist...

Did the two different options in the beginning change anything? Either way, interesting take on the theme.

Developer

If you mean the main menu, if I had released a desktop version (which I forgot to do), the "Stay in Coma" is just the quit button. If you're referring to something else, do specify what piece of dialog. Most of the time multiple options just give different pieces of dialog and rarely any effect on anything.
