gorgeous, perfect paced adventure, with great encounter and lush crescendo. It's also well written, withput a word too much. One of the best installement of the jam, for real
Love the landsharks. And Mother. Mother is awesome. Perfect for the system!
I enjoyed the writing here. Not overly long, but conveyed it well. Appropriately, it also felt very piratey! Very on-theme!
Murder Bees AND a Tsunami table! makes me want to check out Pirate Borg.
The cover is great, and I also appreciate the hand drawn map. I agree with others on the font. It's very difficult to read, and I think there may have been some issues on exporting? Either way, great job! I also wouldn't have turned this title into a pirate borg adventure. What prompted you to do that?
Hell yeah! This is rad. I love the map, I love the red bees. The land sharks and blood mechanic really ties everything together well - the blood, ash, lice, rival pirates - it all feels like a situation waiting to explode.
First off, I love the hand-made art.
I would also have not thought to make this title a Pirate Borg adventure and I love the out of the box thinking here. I've been running a ton of published Pirate Borg one-shots at my local gaming store this summer, and this feels more Pirate Borg than even one or two big name publications I've run.
Fantastic cast of characters and great new monsters, all of whom fit into Pirate Borg like a glove.
I know space is a premium in this jam -- I had to cut a page's worth of content in the last 30 minutes before submitting -- but the typeface here is so small it's hard to read on screen and would probably be murder to read on a print-out. I'd find a sentence or two in each paragraph to cut (why do we care if the clay is edible?) and pop the typeface up a font.
I like the map! I wish I knew more about pirate borg so I could have a stronger opinion on the module design, but it seems pretty easy to adapt for any other system :)
thank you!! I ran it in 5e and PB so yes it is :)
Nice Pirate Borg module. The sand lice are a fun addition. I enjoyed the land shark concept as well. I liked the map and key but would have preferred that the key went all the way around instead of jumping back up to the top of the page. Great job though and good luck
thank you!! I am smacking my head on the numbering—I wanted the cellar to be last but your suggestion is my first edit after the contest. My favorite monsters for this island are the ones that are pretty harmless (gulls, lice, leeches) but get you bloody attention from land sharks afterwards,
Love the cover and there's some nice variety in the layout approach.
thank you!!
