It's dreamy, and that's could be good, but disconnected and uneven. It needs a huge work of fine tuning to work properly at the table, starting from the map that is poor. Powerful images nonetheless, very strong and clear
Great work! I think it's pretty cool on how there's a literal whale in the middle of the forest. Layout is pretty smooth too. An introduction with either a paragraph or a hook/rumor table could really help in setting up the adventure. As much as cool this entry was, I would appreciate it if the weirdness can be cranked up. Beautiful prose all around though, awesome!!!
I love whalefalls as a concept, very interesting decision to use it on a forest!
I like this point crawl in a rather friendly forest. I got great setpieces (Tom, Whale, Coin). But it’s all a bit scrambled and disconnected. Especially with a lot of remaining space to work with, some things could’ve at least get a hint. Mainly “the plague” isn’t named till the last page and never elaborated on.
How moody! I like the theming here immensely. "And of course, that blue." the woad is inevitable.
There's a missing clause in the last sentence of point 6- I think "The Whale Knight".
For clarity, I would move the "Forest Travel" section to the very front. Like others have suggested below, introducing increasing amounts of blue ink into the text and onto the character's tracking sheets sounds like great fun, so maybe those DOTS in the Forest Travel procedures can be woad too.
Nice interpretation of the theme. I like the Whale.
It’s not necessarily clear how much the PCs are needed. Some more introduction would have been nice.
The whale knight is very cool. Shoving a whale into the deep forest like this is a fun idea and you've done a good job working with it.
Dripping with great vibes. Might be contentious, but I think leaning in with the blue dye into more of the visual designs (e.g. font shifts from black to deep blue by the final page?) might be beneficial.
I assume you meant to say “the whale knight,” but it Looks like the last sentence of point 6 is missing something.
That "He seems pretyyyyy dead" broke me. Nice adventure
Clear layout and a cool cover artwork. The writing is dense. A foreword/ introduction woud help to nail the theme even more.
Immaculate vibes.
