Any setting works as long as it's underwater so yes, you could use a beach. But walking on a beach is generally being near water, not under. So unless you add some underwater elements [mermaids, deep ones, kelpies, whatever], let the chara dive a whole lot, have an important traumatic event that happens in water or anything else, really, that would make it a pivotal part of the game, it won't qualify.

Soooo, if I put an abyssal creature or I mention something similar during the night, it should be ok?
(For example a mysterious voice coming from the deep)

If it's actually important to the plot and not a one-off mention then yeah, that'd be enough.

The "Voice" is a thing that will appear (or will be heard to be precise) every night and they will be one of the key characters that will cause one of the game's endings
