Very well done atmosphere with some interesting game play/world building done. As someone who tends to avoid scary, I felt stressed even with no real threat. Fun little animation at the end too!

Thank you for playing. As strange as it may sound, I'm happy it was scary even without the threat :D I had a story in mind before designing the game, that helped a lot with the world building.

I loved the narrative and the atmosphere was very spooky! The diary entries and puzzle solving aspect was a lot of fun, great job!

Developer

Thank you for playing. I knew I wanted the game to be scary and that I wouldn't have time for scary monsters, so I worked a lot with the aesthetics and sounds to create those chills.

Submitted

I was fully convinced there was a monster and that it was coming for me, so you did a very good job!

I really enjoyed the narrative and atmosphere. Also the pebbles were a nice touch. Good job!

Developer

Thank you for playing. Yeah, the main feedback I got from the testers was that it was too easy to get lost, and they wanted something to mark their paths with. I didn't want to make it too easy, so the players get to decide how to use the pebbles themselves :)

I really love the fresh spin on the theme, you made the environment genuinely scary, and it works so well. Awesome job on this game!

Developer

Thank you for playing. I started out with the mindset that this would be a horror/thriller game, so I am happy this came through in the finished game.

Those are some FREAKY sounds

Developer

Thank you for playing. I did not have time to implement a real threat, and it felt so empty without music, so I figured the sound could fill that void (literally).

Nice story driven game. Feels different than a lot of the other entries in a good way. Reminds me of slender the eight pages. Great atmosphere.

Developer

Thank you for playing. Yes, I did take some inspiration from Eight Pages, but decided to not make the pages the centre of the gameplay, rather an optional extra to drive the story.

I loved sitting through this game. The story was interesting. "I had to know the secrets of toglotopia." I enjoyed the cut-scene also. Well done.

Developer

Thank you so much for playing. I sat for days with the story, and made the cutscene in about 20 minutes right before publishing :D

Great game! Enjoyed the spooky atmosphere as well as the clues and diary entries. Small error on my end but that may have been the browser I used. When I switched, there wasn't any issue when using Firefox (which usually gives me trouble with WebGL) I'd love to explore more of the game when it gets an update!
Keep up the great work! +1 +1 +1

Developer

Thank you so much for playing. I will look at different browsers after the jam has finished and see what compatibility issues there might be with different ones.
