Nice! I find the idea of the craters intriguing and that's a cool monster.
Very good pointcrawl in a very dangerous enviroment. Everything is on spot for the pitch.
I love the feeling of material, archaeological achieved through simple touches such as the design of the textbook-style map on the cover and the mentioning a past Karka civilization.
The layout is fantastic! The color coding makes it super easy to parse and the circuit map is a great way to simplify the pointcrawl. The writing is evocative and it hits well the weird fantasy vibes. Great module all around.
Hey thank you so much! and also for noticing the circuit map! my first iteration was to implement it into the map/cover itself but it became too complex and hard to understand. So I tweaked around a little bit with the map and the placement of each place so that it would make sense from one place to another without lines, but the circuit map is also there for accessibility to make it clearer. Thanks a lot!
It works super well next to the text! Makes it immediately accessible on a printed page. Really well done!
Brimstone ceramics and oppressive environments of a classical Mediterranean variety, presented in a modern and somewhat Swiss style that reminds me of Triangle Agency. The use of color in the informational hierarchy is clear and readable, stands out in a very aesthetically pleasing way. Odd!
Triangle Agency mentioned heck yeah!! I did take some inspiration from Triangle Agency layout and presentation. Swiss style has always been great at presenting information (at the downcost of being kinda boring, rigid, and lacks character) But my intention was to turn this into a "touristy" pamphlet so I guess swiss style kinda fit this! Thank you so much for your kind words!
Very inspired and coherent visual presentation. You have a great eye for colour and text styling, which especially shines through on the last page with its bold info boxes.
Thank you so much! One of my (personal) usual issue is that sometimes when I flip through module it's kinda hard to know which statblock is which when skimming. So I implemented colour coding so that the DM could assign which colour belongs to which category. This way everything is neat and can be looked up easily.
I like the map, very distinct look! Also a big fan of using environmental dangers.
Thank you so much! Iām also a big fan of environmental hazard (always a great addition to any place)
Love the art here- the colors, the public domain stuff, but particularly the 2 maps!
Great work all around; highly lethal, but with enough valuable loot to make it worth the price of admission.
Thank you so much! Really happy that you and the others find the map and the deisgn to ge delightful. I personally am quite torn with the lethality when designing it, but i feel like a doomed/highly dangerous journey is the way to go. Especially with the lore and the payoff in the adventure. Thank you for your comments!
The map on the cover is very well done. I really like the graphical layout tricks you've applied; make the whole very easy to run at the table. Just a very clear and consice adventure :)
That's a strong hammer btw!
Thank you so much!! Iām also really proud of the layout! (It reminds me of highlighting stuff in highschool)
This is impressive. Great job at everything. I love it!
What a crazy adventure! I really love the clay people and the fog. Sick visual design to match!!
Thank you so much!! I also love the clay people despite them turning into a horror :ā(
For starters: absolutely beautiful visual design, I love the use of colors, textures and emphasis, it all comes together as a super tight and fun layout. Love the cover art, great idea presenting it as a sort of tourist destination pamphlet with a little map and everything. The premise gives both reason for the player characters to engage in the adventure and no easy way out, nicely thought.
Hey!! Thanks a lot!! Iām really happy that you got the tourist destination pamphlet Iām aiming for. That means a lot to me š„³š„³š„³ Really grateful for your kind words!
The colours are stunning in this and doesn't distract from the reading experience. Really nice layout and font size. I appreciate how running the adventure and what is happening is quickly set out in the opening. A great use of the title, I really like the idea of the cure, really provides some motivation for the player characters on arrival. Great job on the module!
Thank you so much for your kind praise!
A fetch quest onto a hellish island, Very cool. One of the best use of design. I love the cover map, Great job!
Thank you so much for your kind words! I very much like your Characters too! very memorable and distinct.
Very cool module! Love the bit about the parasite/curse effecting the players and those who came before. Crater within a crater within a crater is a great way to interpret the title too!
Thank you so much for your kind words! I had to rack my brains for a long time to make the craters from the title to be creative and wild, so your praise means a lot to me! Thank you so much once again!
Gorgeous, thoughtful layout - colors, fonts, icons, maps and art all working together well. Your āAbout the Adventureā section is easily the best I have seen in the jam. Blasting the meteor with that hammer would feel so damn good.
Thank you so much for your compliments!! It means a lot to me that you find the About the Adventure section is the best! I really appreviate it!
I feel like running adventures with into the odd is tough sometimes since the lore and world are kinda so open, but this is like exactly the type of thing I imagine throwing at it. The design is so so good and the overall vibe really fits that weird appendix-n sci fi fantasy mashup. Great work!
Thank you so much! we share the same sentiment regarding Into the Odd! I too feel like there's too much openness in the setting, and that's why I tried to make a setting where a bastion and the "dungeon" interact with each other and creates a history of why people go to this dangerous place and why there's a bastion. Thank you so much for all your kind words!
I really like the layout! There's this game called FIST that i think just from the vibe alone could fit into this module, great stuff!!
I like how this evokes the imagination.
Let's plan an excursion to a crater, shall we?
(no, wait, make it... a crater, on an island, within a crater, surrounded by the lake of a crater)
Thank you so much! Let's make it happen!! Shall we go to the crater? Or that crater? or that island crater? oh wait did I mention that other crater?
Cartography is clearly a highlight. Really liked the feel of the curse and the self contained island adventure. Starts difficult and seems like it will stay difficult, those brimstone golems are no joke.
