I love the layout and really like the artwork. This seems like a sweet little campaign in a very approachable setting. I put this on my pile of “TO DO” zines!

Maybe it’s my Cairn-illiteracy, but how would the hydra-statblock work when heads are missing? Does it get up to 9 attacks but a single HP pool?

I think I’ll ignore the note about the duplicate ocean encounters, this seems quite stressful for up to 9 heroic tasks to be done ;)

My “D&D 5e-please hold my hand”-brain somehow needs a bullet-pointy adventure path to reach the conclusion, but that’s a me-problem.

thanks! The Hydra is a detachment, which is multiple monsters in one. Once you critically injure it, it is weakened losing a head. It gets a single attack but because it is a 'blast' the attack affects a larger area hitting more characters. Here is some info from the SRD if you are interested: https://cairnrpg.com/second-edition/wardens-guide/detachments/

I'll admit with the limited space I left things pretty sparse, as I'm finding from some of the comments majority of people would prefer more direction, so I'll definitely consider that next time
