I finnaly added sounds and music!! I also added a level selection ( but its a bit buggy :/ )
Very nice entry! Honestly the character control feels incredibly nice. I noticed you added coyote time to make it a bit more forgiving which is a nice touch. The game is extremely polished for a first game jam! A bit of sound would've helped a bit I believe, but overall it was a nice experience! Keep it up!
Thanks! Nice, you notices ;) Yea it's just I never use sound because I can't find any good sounds effects :/ If you know good websites please recommend me!
I get most of mine from Pixabay, and if you want more of an "8-bit" style, try the sfxr software, it's really nice!
Thank you so much!
What a goated entry! Love how you introduce the credits in the first levels, and the vertical levels reminded me Jump King somewhat. If this is your first game, keep it up because you are doing phenomenal!
Thanks! I really liked your game too especially the graphics, how did you do that?
Thanks! In 3D, you can use post-processing effects (shaders). Specifically that one is called 'Dithering'. I think there are some youtube videos about it, or, if you use godot, in godotshaders.com you can find some shaders that might interest you.
Yooo absolutely love the humor in this, very smooth controls too, great work !!
Thanks! He's like a bar of soap :)
Hi ! It's good for a first jam, nicely done ^^ Neat gameplay, your code works well, the levels are fun to play (but sometimes we fall too much because the platforms are very small and if you jump with direction keys pressed you slip, it upset me at some point hahah).
Agreeing with a previous comment: for the lore you should have made a soap-character XD And yeah, music and some SFX effect (for instance, one sound when we're running, one sound for the jump) would improve your game a lot.
Thanks! I made him very slippery. I couldn't find any good sound effects. :( Thanks for the advice!
Cheers ! Have you checked for free sfx assets on Itch ? Do you know Kenney ? They offer free assets (visuals and sound) on their website.
(Sorry for the late reply, family vacation)
Yea I added some SFX and music some days ago! I'm working on a level selection thing!
Ouuuu nice ! I'll play again when I get back home then :D
I added now a level selection and 20 levels :D Thanks for playing my game and encouraging me :)
Really good for a first jam game! Solid gameplay. Somehow I accidentally fell on the coin in the last map lol. Shame that you didn't find any sound effects or music. They do a lot for enjoyability. Good job still!
Thanks! Haha yea i thought it was out of reach. Do you know any good websites to find sound effects or how to make them?
I've used Unity asset store or recorded myself :D.
Ok thanks!
I have unity but use godot haha
You can use freesound to get the audios and audacity to editing so you make it fit our game!
Nice lookin and well made play game, obvious thing that would add a massive amount is is sound and music. Even a midi sound for the jump would have been great if you dont have access to sounds and music.
Good job on your first jam game :)
Thanks! I never use headphones so i didnt worry about sound but then i remembered other people do have haha
This guy is made of soap, butter and olive oil
hahaha
