I beat it. It’s BEAUTIFUL.

In the web version, it froze for about three minutes during the initial shader compilation. You might find that using lighter shaders in the web version makes for a smoother loading experience. It’s obvious just by looking at the game that its beautiful scenes are made possible by the shaders, so I understand why you might hesitate to make that decision.

The gameplay experience is wonderful, and it captures the beauty of the deep sea very well. I also love the rendering of the fish scales and the sparkling particles floating in the water. The buddy system also serves a meaningful purpose within the game.

However, precisely because of that, the anime-style female character that appears after beating the game might have been better rendered with a more realistic art style. It felt out of place with the game’s otherwise gritty, hard-boiled world.

Overall, though, it was a truly mystical experience. 🙂

Thank you so much for the review and comments! I really appreciate your honest feedback on both the good and the bad points. While aiming for visual beauty, I think adapting the style to fit the overall mood will make it even more interesting!
