I love this mechanic and the aesthetic reminds me of the era of flash I grew up on! I do wish there was a much lower limit on what you can put inside a shell so you have to diversify more. I really liked how the cloud was more for movement and others like fire were good for damage. It reminds me a bit of a game called "Fishards" which is a wizard game where you are fish and cast elemental spells by mixing them together.

Perhaps total, but I meant specifically each shell can maybe only hold like 1-3 shell dusts and each individual dust is stronger. I think that way you can make an informed choice like "do I want a 3/3 fire or 2/3 fire 1 water for X reason instead of just sort of throwing it all in there which is what I felt like I was doing. It was satisfying to pour them though!
I do quite like the idea of essentially making powder layers much larger than they are currently. We originally had different ideas for what kinds of powders would do, and how they'd modify each other in the shell, but scope creep'll getcha. Thanks for the suggestion, though; if we continue with the project, that'll definitely be something to consider. :)
