Yes, I've reached chapter 2 already and Mono says the menu line when I interact with the door. I may be softlocked? I recruited the frog character to the tavern before I went back to the lumberjack.

That shouldn't happend try checking the village it's down the the lumberjack lady if not try going back to a save before you finish the letter quest

Both paths to the south are still closed, and the rock that is blocking the area to the southwest of the daughter is still there. Seems like I just hit an unlucky softlock. I don't have a save before chapter 2 so I'll just die I guess. Gameplay and concept are good so I will come back some time in the future to play through again.

the rock isn't meant to dissapear, it is a way for me to block unfinished areas of the game, I really don't know what happend on your game cause I playtested it had players progressing through that part, can you check what version of the game are you playing?

I am playing on 0.2.3. I'm not really sure what happened, but I sped through the game again to see if I could replicate it, but it worked and started the cutscene when I entered the area. I just redownloaded the game through the app rather than my browser and that seemed to work.
