Very interesting visual style. Definitely caught my eye lol. I think gameplay could feel a bit more engaging and some of the earliest upgrades could cost a bit less, but great game!

Came to play the game after seeing what happened in the livestream and the concept and visuals are really unique and cool.
Thank you bro, idk what rock the dude on stream has been living under thispersondoesnotexist has been around forever. Literally when I was first learning to make games one of my teachers showed it to me as an easy free-to-use tool for making people. I just hope that no one else has to deal with something like this on the live stream.
I really loved the realism photo / art used it's such a unique art style and made the game so lovely. Some of the ui was weird because you'd be navigating with your keyboard than have to switch to mouse.
I loved this and laughed my ass off when I entered the game! Super unique concept and I basically loved everything about it. The music was very chill and the sound effects added quite a bit to the humor! My only critique would be that I wish there were more mini-games for collecting mollusks and Mr Boa T made me feel poor :D
I really like the unique art direction. Using realistic stock images in a collage style gives the game a quirky and memorable vibe. It stands out visually and makes the whole experience feel fresh. Great job!
This game was very fun and very silly. I know for a fact the faces on the NPCs are your professors lmao. The music sounded great and I really do love the collage art style you have going on in this game. The goofiness of the game was very endearing and overall I had a blast playing this.
This game has such a unique vibe to it I can't put into words exactly. It has the stock images of course over this sort of chill yet nostalgic guitar and then the ways the game phrases things like when you decide to not go into the shop or not fish it describes you looking out over the sea which contrasts with the otherwise goofiness of the characters in an awesome way. Overall loved the vibe despite the grindy loop I found myself playing it more than a lot of other entries!
This is actually so well put together, the dialogue and the minigame and everything, I love the characters and the way you get to experience the whole beach and boardwalk. Very cool and unique way to put everything together
I like the stock photos! It looks so silly (in a good way) to me The game doesss feel a bit grindy and I felt a bit tired at the end of it. I had to take out my drawing tablet to tryhard those last few sessions. I liked the dialogue from the dude I was selling mollusks to. Overall cool game!!
Thanks bro!
I love using stock assets, I'm not an artist by any means but I feel like stock assets just add a certain charm, especially to smaller jam/web games. A lot of early 2000s and 2010s flash games used them because they were easy to get, but sadly in recent time stock assets are much harder to find and use, especially since companies keep adding gross ai images to stock libraries
Fun little game, my main criticism is it feels rather grindy, I guess my speedrunning tech is just upgrade the air tank to 60s and fully upgrade the net. I find the game is oddly charming in art style making heavy use of stock images, I like the beach you catch mollusks at, it achieve a very unique vibe. I wish the boat had a better catch rate of mollusks considering what it takes to get there.
Great game with amazing art and sound direction.
Only thing holding it back in my mind is the mollusc picking minigame. It’s way too repetitive and getting enough money for the last purchase took too much grinding. Would have been better if the last purchase was like $3,000, or the net upgrades allowed for doing more molluscs at once, or something like that to make the money scale faster.
THANK YOU SO MUCH AHHHHH :D
Also I appreciate the feedback, the reason it's 5k was my friends kept speeding through the game and got to 2k in no time so I increased the amount to 5k to make the game last a bit longer. I know game jam games are typically pretty short but I wanted to make sure that the play time of the game was still decent. Did you max out all the upgrades?
