Ok THIS IS GREAT. Like I genuinely had such a blast playing this and was disappointed when reached the end. First racing game I've ever seen that yes punishes you for strong impacts but REWARDS for lesser ones. Very cool resource management mechanic. Was a bit too easy for most of the game but unlike in other racing games I never felt truly safe even when having a great lead because still had to manage sleep. On the final race I was even blinking out right before the finish line!
Next, music. IT WAS SO HYPE. Like it was genuinely pretty good, not only it had me going with bpm etc, but it also was pretty nice to listen to.
Theme imple,emtation is, obviously, *chef's kiss*. The concept is just so good. Illegal mortally dangerous racing type thing (like older street racing themed games) but the core idea of having racers stay awake for a set amount of time before racing was so fun!
I liked the funky artstyle in the cutscenes. The art in the game itself was not as full of character but was still pretty good.
Finally, the spirit of the game. It has such a perfect mix of comedic absurdity and earnestness in how it's made!
