Cute platformer, and great job for a solo project ! I have to say the jump feels a bit weird but that is maybe just some polish to do. For the rest, it was fun to play !

Thanks for playing! Interesting, I'll look more into the jump feature and maybe update in the future

Congratulations for making a submission as a solo developer!.

For the music i recommend you to be careful with chromatic notes, you did a music piece on A minor which naturally only has the white notes of a keyboard, i see you tried on making it a melodical A minor scale with a F# and a G# but you went, on the piano, A, E, C F#, C, C G#, E, which has a tritone between C and F#, and C and G#.

Tritones are a bit hard to use because these are chords or intervals that generate some tension, chords that crave for a resolution, and you are also adding a G# which makes that melody a bit more unstable.

If you are just starting on music, i would recommend you doing something easier, tritones and changing chromatic notes are not a very easy task, on A minor you could actually, stick with only A minor, D minor, and E minor, (E dominant seventh being pretty common too, E, G#, B and D).

You can also use reverbs or equalizers to make your instruments sound much better.

Also, i do not think the music for this has to be as spooky, this game it´s more lighthearted.

Thanks for the feedback! You're right, I'm just a beginner at making music and still don't understand too much about tones, chords and all those things related to music. Also, the music wasn't supposed to be spooky when I was making it, it was supposed to give a feeling of introspection and self-reflection. Definitely gonna change the music alongside other things on a future update

cute platformer! :) shame you couldn't put all you wanted in time, hope you'll get a chance to revisit it some day!

Developer

Thanks for playing! I plan to update the game in the future, so stay tuned :)

Cool platformer, it makes it more interesting given the story. I've never played a platformer where the jump is more powerful than the movement force. I was lucky that sometimes falls wouldn't lead to a game over but having Coyote time could make it more forgiving. Congrats for submitting to the jam, good job! :)

Great job making a platformer! It was cool to see the different layers of the level. We got to the end, would love to see how you expand on this in the future.

Thanks for playing! I can't wait to update this game in the future

I was surprised when I fell down and didn't immediately die. but rather reached another layer! The music was eerie which felt fitting to the theme of the game.

Did you get to the end? You'll see something interesting if you do and that something will be implemented in the future.

Thank you for playing!
