This was really hard for me because I just suck at matching sounds but it was interesting to me still especially having to match the certain tones and rhythms.

I have a goldfish memory so this took me probably 2x the normal playtime but I can't be frustrated when the game is so beautiful. I love the art and the sound, even to the little details of the starting logo and seashell transition!

Loved the art on this game! Although this isn't my type of game, I feel like your idea was well executed, and I still had fun!

Submitted(+2)

My highest review so far. What a creative proposal well executed. Check our game please ^^

tysm!! The idea came from our lovely composer and sound person <3

Super awesome! The art is beautiful, and game loop is fun :) Would have loved to hear more sfx for moving/placing shells and whatnot, but the audio was fantastic nonetheless. Really cool submission guys, keep up the good work!

Really impressive game and super innovative!

Very fun! Reminds me of the mermaid show from Stardew Valley, and the art is incredible! Great work!

Very unique game and love the art style! I am not the greatest when it comes to game so I couldn't get far. Amazing job!

Love the all the art assets and style! The game premise is very unique too with you having to memorize short sound snippets, which was not too hard for me. Very nicely done!

Really good looking game and great take on the team,  its quite fun but sadly I am not the best when it comes to recognising music

Peak art and unique take on the nautical shell theme, wish the game had a little more depth but maybe im just bad at recognizing melodies.

Submitted(+3)

very unique and fun game, I thought I'd be terrible at it when first playing but then  slowly I was able to understand and it was very enjoyable!

Submitted(+3)

realy really cool idea! unfortunatly I am really bad at music

Developer(+2)

fair ;) I did the art of the game and the team member who made all the music and sound for the game had a fun time watching me struggle through each level.

Submitted(+3)

I really liked the art, this game is really unique!

Submitted(+2)

Genuinely one of the most innovative games I've seen the whole jam and the art is incredible!

Developer(+1)

thank you so much we loved your game as well!!

Submitted(+3)

Such a cute game! The sprite work is top notch, and I loved the unique shell designs! I do wish there was some kind of freestyle/free play element (harmonizing with the mermaid would be a cool idea)! All in all, great work!!

Developer

thank you for liking our game!! We had discussed ideas to make a sandbox-style level where you can make your own songs but we did not have time in the end since that would be over-scope

Submitted(+1)

Ah that makes sense! Still a wonderful game though, you guys did a great job!

Developer

thank you!!

Its so fun

Very fun! Unsure if you're unable to click the mermaid to hear the song after you've already failed once, though, cause that was the end of my first run 😭. It'd be nice if there were more noticeable differences between the shells towards the end, cause you need very trained ears, or at least lucky trial and error, on the last couple of levels. It'd also be cool to have more shell slots to reproduce longer melodies!

Overall, loved this game! The mechanics are simple enough to understand easily, but there's a lot you can do with it! Both the art and music are very nice as well!

Developer

You should be able to replay the mermaid's song, as long as she isn't in the middle of singing or while you are submitting an answer. I'll look into that for you!

Ah, yeah, it might've been because I failed, and the shells were still there from my last attempt when I tried to listen to the song again. A small blurb about that in the instructions would help, since it's not the most intuitive thing. But overall, it's a pretty small thing.
