Love some folk horror! Very eerie module, the art on page 4 is particularly spooky. I really like all the Idols, especially Aduwn, and the whole idea of collecting their masks and changing encounters based on whether or not masks are worn. There are a couple of points I'd like to see spelled out a bit more; firstly, what happens to an Idol when its mask is removed or given up? I was initially assuming the Idol in question then ceases to be (as the Lady's request is to strike them down) but as the Sun and Moon are more powerful unmasked, I think I was mistaken. And similarly, what conditions need to be met for the barriers around the realm to fall - do all the Idols need to be struck down, or just Giltaan?

Thank you for reviewing!

I was trying to mimic Bastionland’s style of not explicitly spelling things out in module, so that different tables could interpret things as they see it. The way I wrote, however, is that being unmasked does strike down everyone except The Sister & Giltaan, who are life-linked. Giltaan giving his Mask for the temple is kinda like hibernation, while The Sister would die (as she desires) if Giltaan’s were taken forcibly. As for the barrier, it would fall immediately after Giltaan’s is removed, but I tried to imply that it would rise again around whatever temple the PC’s found if his deal were taken. I hope that makes more sense with the context you already had, but please let me know if none of that came across!

Ah, I did wonder if there was a Mythic Bastionland aspect that I was missing, as I'm not that familiar with it. I think most of what you've said is what I'd have put together, if pressed; though I didn't pick up on the Sister and Giltaan being life-linked rather than just enemies (which is a nice touch!).
