Great visuals and sound, the mood of the game is awesome, and it’s a really interesting core idea! However, I had a tough time with the target scanning—even with the hint to capture the signal while visible on the left side of the bar, I couldn’t seem to lock targets. It felt like the pip wasn’t quite reaching that area, or maybe there’s a random chance involved? The gameplay definitely needs some heavy balancing, but there’s a lot of potential here. Great idea, but needs a bit more work.
The best art I've seen in a long time, and the rooms I understood where pretty cool, although I think this game suffers from a lack of explanation.
oh man I really really want to be able to succeed at your game, I am just so lost trying to operate the various rooms. I'm assuming I need power so I visit the power room to recharge, then that I need to detect an enemy, so I go to the radar room and there I have no clue what to do. I was able to get 2 green lights very randomly pressing the space key, I am still not sure what caused it - the other rooms I'm assuming get activated once I have actually detected something. Please help me play this, it looks so fantastic I want to give it the proper time!
Thank you for playing! Yeah, I must admit that radar room is poorly designed... You are supposed to kinda "calculate" radar ping velocity while it's visible, and then "catch" it with Space click when it goes over small area on the left that looks like pivoted "["
Really dood visuals and the game's page looks incredible.
Gameplay, thought, is meh. It's a good idea, and the game is so close to unraveling that potential, but clanky controls and not being told how to interact with the sub takes away the fun out of game. I couldn't finish first level since scanning feels completely random. Taking one ship down took me 5 minutes of franticly trying to figure out when to press space, after which i tried to down the second ship, but power went out, scanner progress was nullified and i just gave up.
Thank you for trying the game! Yeah, I must admit that some parts, especially the radar room, are poorly designed... I was inspired by "The King is watching" gaze mechanic first, but then decided to move towards "skill check" approach and... well, it failed
The design of each room is absolutely incredible. Like the others, I had a tough time understanding and adjusting to the controls, more specific instructions on the game page could help.
Lovely art, I had a little trouble to understand how to control this game.
The art is very good, and I love the animations! I did have a little trouble playing at first, but once I figured it out, I had a good time.
The game is well put-together and the atmosphere is immersive.
Had a bit of a hard time operating all the different instruments at first.
I perished in a bomb-attack and all my targets escaped.
I will probably come back for some more later!
Cheers.
Thank you for playing! Yeah, some parts are poorly designed, and I hope I can improve them post-jam. But still, glad to hear you enjoyed it to some extent
