I’m a host of a jam, and a participant got the infamous “comment is awaiting moderator approval” message when trying to leave a comment on a jam submission. Just to clarify - does this refer to Itch.io moderators, or do I have a way to approve these comments? I’ve checked every single tab in the dashboard so I think it’s the former, but I’d like to confirm. Maybe I’m blind.
Any “moderator” of the community/comment thread in question has the power to approve comments. itch.io may also approve comments in some scenarios.
We’re aware the UI/UX for approval is janky right, we’re working on unified page in your dashboard for comment approval across all communities moderated by that account.
Yes, but I’m asking about comments on a jam submission page. I’m a host of a jam, there is a submission to the jam, and another user tried to leave a comment on that submission. The user got an error saying the comment needs moderator approval. Is there a way for me as a jam host to approve the comment?
I’ve found the tabs related to the community, but I don’t see anything related to jam entry comments. And I don’t see the pending comment in the community tab.
