YOOO, THIS ONE CAUGHT ME OFF GUARD — IN THE BEST WAY! ๐
The whole idea of being a Wishkeeper delivering wishes across the stars is honestly such a charming take on the theme. The moment I understood that I wasn't just doing random platforming, but actually helping wishes reach their constellations, the game started feeling way more meaningful.
I especially loved the story + gameplay connection. You're literally travelling through the stars to make someone else's wish come true, while the game keeps teasing that bigger question: โWhy was yours forgotten?โ ๐ That was a really nice hook and made me want to keep going.
The pixel art, atmosphere and music work together really well too. It has this cozy, slightly mysterious feeling that makes exploring the levels enjoyable. And the way the platforming and constellation puzzles are mixed together gives the game more personality than a straightforward platformer.
Honestly, this feels like one of those jam games where you can clearly see the idea being expanded into something much bigger. The concept of a whole universe of wishes, constellations and forgotten stories has a LOT of potential.
If I had one small suggestion, I'd love to see a little more guidance for some of the puzzles. I can imagine players getting stuck simply because they aren't sure what pattern they're supposed to discover. Even a subtle visual hint could help without taking away the challenge.
But overall — really beautiful concept, great atmosphere, and a genuinely memorable story idea. You definitely cooked with this one. ๐โจ
If you get a free moment, I'd really appreciate it if you could play my game too and leave me a review! ๐ฅน I'm also collecting feedback during the jam, so your thoughts would mean a lot.
Good luck with the jam, and I hope the Wishkeeper's own wish gets remembered in the end. ๐
