THIS IS SUCH A COOL WAY TO TURN STARGAZING INTO A FULL-ON JOB! πŸ”

I really enjoyed the idea behind Earthwatch. Instead of just looking at the stars, you basically turned the player into the person responsible for figuring out β€œIs that thing up there harmless… or are we about to get cooked?” πŸ˜‚ That scan β†’ identify β†’ decide β†’ laser loop is surprisingly addictive.

The part I liked most was having to prioritize targets. You can't just mindlessly blast everything on the screen — you actually have to check what's coming in and decide what deserves your attention. When several objects start appearing, the pressure ramps up FAST. My brain went straight into NASA intern panic mode 😭

The 3D voxel-style presentation also gives it a really nice identity. The observatory setup makes the whole thing feel like you're sitting in an actual monitoring station rather than simply playing another space shooter. And I really liked how the theme is integrated into the gameplay itself — you're literally watching the sky and interpreting what's coming from it.

One thing I'd love to see in a future version is even more impact feedback when Earth gets hit or when you successfully destroy something. A bigger visual reaction, warning effect, screen shake, or some dramatic alarm could make those moments hit even harder. Also, as the difficulty ramps up, a few more types of threats or upgrades could make the later game even more chaotic in a fun way.

But honestly, this has a really solid core loop. It's simple to understand, but once the objects start piling up, suddenly you're sweating over pixels trying to save the planet πŸ˜‚

Really enjoyed this one, Juan! Great job and good luck with the jam! πŸ›°οΈπŸŒŽ

Thank you so much for the detailed feedback! I’m really glad you enjoyed the core loop and the target prioritization. Your suggestions for stronger feedback and effects are definitely something I’d love to improve!
