I never used unreal but from what I heard, Unreal works great for 3D but not well for 2D games. Unity also does good for 3D (Though Unreal is probably superior) but much better for 2D development. I’ve been learning game development for 10 months now, only used Unity for 3 of those months the rest have been on Godot. Never tried Unreal since I’m focused on 2D games and based on what I heard Unreal doesn’t render 2D games very well.
