The game is very good and congratulations for making it in godot!
A couple of notes that I think would improve the game:
I also wanted to report a bug: when the word “TOTALED” appears, the first time the game didn’t get to the summary screen, the second time it appeared after the car ended up “below the level” (glitch).
Keep working on it!
Ok, I'll address all of these, the intro logo animation was made very quickly in godot directly so it's sloppy, I'll normally make it in blender with baked shaders, by holes I'm guessing you mean the techno valley, those where highly intended😏, you'll have to stay in air to survive there, also it's very hard to find good music on pixabay, and concerning the bugs, firstly after the totaled screen you are supposed to tap the LMB again to show the summary screen, and the going through the map bug Is the godot engine issue, I used godot 3.5.3 because it is simpler of sort and would run on older hardware so the game won't be limited to the nvidia boys, Thank you for your detailed feedback, concerning working on the game it's a 50:50 chance I might not, I'm just testing jam waters, you'll probably see me in another jam very soon, then I'll polish
wow
this is really good!
nicely done
Thank you🤗
Your game is awesome! I really like the idea of racing through space or on other planets to save the world, haha. I loved the car designs, and the sound was fantastic!
The main thing I think it needs is a clearer definition of the missions and the actual goals , like collecting a certain number of items, surviving for a certain amount of time without dying, etc. That would make the gameplay easier to understand.
But it’s a really good game, and I really enjoyed playing it!
I keep getting this, i understand that everything isnt thrown at your face in the game because i intended for the game to have lore, but due to the time i started this game for the jam, i just made slides at the beginning of the game to give it all context, anyways thanks for the rating
Ahh okay, I’ll try playing it again later and see. Thanks for the reply!
🚗💨 YOOO, this was a pretty cool action game!
The car movement, speed, sound design, and visual effects are definitely the highlights for me. The falling stars/asteroids and the Nebula chasing you make the runs feel pretty intense. 🔥🌌
I can see the connection to STARGAZING, but honestly, it feels more like a high-speed sci-fi racing/survival game with a star theme than a game really centered around stargazing. 😄 Maybe making the stars/comet and the sky more important to the actual gameplay could strengthen that connection.
Still, ~100 hours and a first jam is a huge effort, and the presentation is really cool. Great work! 👏
Good luck with the jam! And if you have some time, please play my game too and leave me a review! 🙏❤️
thanks for your honest reply, although I'll have preferred human text btw, I'll definitely check yours out,I'm also pretty sure I kept slides in the beginning to give the game context about the stars and looking at the speedometer there is a value called comet link, I couldn't finish the games lore in time, as there was supposed to be an ending, all in all thanks
Hey mate! 😄 Have you had a chance to try my game yet? Whenever you get some free time, I’d really appreciate your feedback and review! ❤️ It means a lot to me!
I enjoyed playing the game! I kinda clipped through the map in the rolling hill section when I used the turbo and hit a pillar lol. Sadly I could only run the game at 20fps since my laptop is kinda bad but I still really liked the high speed action, the sound design and music and the nebula chasing you. Overall cool game!
I'm so sorry about that, I didn'have the time to optimize because of the little time we had and I only worked on the scene switching smoothness eve though it's still buns, thanks for the feedback though
Bro haha yeah nice visual effects, I didn't understand on my first play so i died very quickly but the movement of the car is very nice! Good job
Yea, one thing I learned is a shaders usage during this jam, and I understand the complexity of the car movement, it's based off of Distance by refract studios, you can check the game out
t’s a pity that this game is only playable on the web platform. However, I played it and saw some incredible effects. Great job!
Bro it's downloadable naaw😂, but thanks anyway
