Hey, the Alraune fight is balanced around lvl 4, so your difficulties in defeating her were expected. Next update I'm adding a (very simple for now) repeatable quest system to enable players to easier earn money, so you'll be able to afford some gear ;)

That aside, are you enjoying the game so far?

Hi Megaknur,

Thank you for following up and explaining the scaling behind the Alraune fight! That definitely clears up why it felt like such a steep wall.

To answer your question: I absolutely loved the story, worldbuilding, and atmosphere of Chasing Memories. You’ve built something really special narrative-wise, and the Myconid and Slime girls were fun to interact with.

However, the Alraune battle burned me out to the point where I've decided to take a step back from the game for a bit. Because level numbers aren't visible in combat—and the status effect visuals ended up covering the health bar—it was hard to gauge if I was just underleveled or using the wrong strategy. It made early progression feel more reliant on luck than tactical planning.

I really appreciate the work you put into the game, and I'm glad I got to experience the story, even if the early combat balancing wasn't quite the right fit for me right now. Wishing you the best with future updates!

Hey, I'm really sorry that you feel this way - it's totally my fault for not clarifying which lvl is recommended for this specific event chain. It's fixed in the public update I'm releasing in two days ;)

As for the story, I'm really glad you're enjoying it - but you haven't seen anything yet haha. I encourage you to pick up the game sometime in the future to see where all this goes, especially with the new update picking up on the main story.

Thank you for trying out the game!

No problem. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next!
