Thank you for following up and explaining the scaling behind the Alraune fight! That definitely clears up why it felt like such a steep wall.
To answer your question: I absolutely loved the story, worldbuilding, and atmosphere of Chasing Memories. You’ve built something really special narrative-wise, and the Myconid and Slime girls were fun to interact with.
However, the Alraune battle burned me out to the point where I've decided to take a step back from the game for a bit. Because level numbers aren't visible in combat—and the status effect visuals ended up covering the health bar—it was hard to gauge if I was just underleveled or using the wrong strategy. It made early progression feel more reliant on luck than tactical planning.
I really appreciate the work you put into the game, and I'm glad I got to experience the story, even if the early combat balancing wasn't quite the right fit for me right now. Wishing you the best with future updates!
