Of course! Two examples that come to mind are during the conversation with Koi and Sakana. At one point Sakana is described as nodding silently. A nod is inherently silent so "I nod" is often enough. Another place where an adjective might have been overused was the line "I bring Koi into an uncomfortably tight embrace." What does an "uncomfortably tight" embrace actually feel like? Like a carp stuffed into an undersized sleeping bag? What if the line read "I strangle Koi into my crab pincer hug" instead?
