When you're in the game proper, you can open the menu and roll over to the options panel where there's a toggle to lock the Respect Value. This can let you get the full experience of both not losing your partner's respect when accidentally getting molly-whopped and choosing when to lose that respect if you're horny for some degradation/ntr.
