How does this game fit the theme of 'fishing'?
This game is about a fishing competition and includes QTE fishing minigames.

Does this game include any Generative AI?
No :P

A personal upvote for "I Was Caught By Someone Who Wanted To Impress Their Crush"....

I really enjoyed this game even thought I'm not a huge VN fan myself. I thought the characters were well-written and pretty relatable in such a short space of time. The fishing mini-game fit the overall surprisingly well and I loved how the MC's distraction affected the mini-game; a really nice touch.

A couple of really minor things that did not detract from my enjoyment:

1. I had one "Reel in" that did not play its sound when pressed. It could also possibly help to have a subtle 'fail' sound for if you miss it.

2. I think I saw only one typo, which I believe was the word "complain" with the "a" and "i" the wrong way around, somewhere in the middle. Honestly, that's pretty impressive for any dialogue-driven game.

3. The typewriter speed was a little bit slow for my liking, so perhaps a setting to increase or decrease it to taste would be useful.

Overall, a pleasant polished game that was enjoyable to play, thank you.

Thank you for your critiques! There should be a text speed slider in the settings menu, but I will make a note of everything else to fix in a future patch! I'm glad you had fun playing!

No worries, and sorry I missed the text speed slider in the settings menu.

On the small-chance that the mini-games are not dynamically generated, I think where I experienced the lack of sound was the second one towards the bottom-right. If they are, then that is inconsequential information haha.

It's very cute! I did not expect a romance vn in the submissions and i love it. next jam a sequel from the perspective of the fish?

Wonderful game and great story! I love the anime aesthetic and enjoyed the dialogue a lot. I did find there were a few too many adjectives but otherwise awesome game!

Thank you for playing, I'm glad you liked it! I'm always looking to improve my writing, so may I ask what you mean by "too many adjectives"?

Submitted(+1)

Of course! Two examples that come to mind are during the conversation with Koi and Sakana. At one point Sakana is described as nodding silently. A nod is inherently silent so "I nod" is often enough. Another place where an adjective might have been overused was the line "I bring Koi into an uncomfortably tight embrace." What does an "uncomfortably tight" embrace actually feel like? Like a carp stuffed into an undersized sleeping bag? What if the line read "I strangle Koi into my crab pincer hug" instead?
Hope that helped!

Thank you, I'll keep this advice in mind for future projects!
