I was inspired by "Gotta Go Fast" to create a character who could achieve multiples speeds with a single button, and although the action ended up being slower than expected, speedrunning levels is still possible.

Nice little platformer. I like how the unforgiving "one hit resets the current level" is balanced with providing unlimited tries to beat a level. And there are many nice little details that improve the overall experience, well done! :)
Cute little game packed with so many awesome details—I loved the idle animation! The music fits perfectly and sets a really cozy mood, and that multi-layer parallax scrolling looks fantastic. There are a few spots where sprite and parallax content colors bleed into matching backgrounds, but I would say outlines would not fit the art style, so it works fine regardless. Nice job with this one!
I’m strongly reminded of Mario 1, in a good way. Found the Fire power, and now I’m wondering if there’s other hidden surprises I might have overlooked. This is a real gem!
Cute platformer, when she runs it looks like how the ninjas in Naruto run :) The one hit death/restart is pretty punishing though.
Also I noticed when I stood on a house above the magenta colored enemy his eyes/hair would flicker.
Good game! Found it pretty challenging and died quite a few times. Congrats on finishing the project!
Nice speed-running platformer. I love how you receive the power-up for playing well. Good game, friend!
This made me think of SMB3, the way the character jumps with her hands extended! Really enjoyed this little platformer which did a lot of things right - the hitbox wasn't too punishing, the enemies were predictable enough, and there was plenty of really fun moments where my jumps just connected the way I was hoping to. Really enjoyed the music as well which suited the mood perfectly. I did have to fight the first boss at least 5 times to kill him, and a few of those times I died right after having delivered a successful hit (they uppercuted me literally a few ms after) so that could use a bit more leniency towards the player :)
Really cool entry overall!
Groovy beeps and bops!
I extracted fun from this game by looking to find the jumps and timings that allowed me to never let go of the right arrow and hit some sick combos! You short hop off the first apple to grind across the nearby roof gracefully sliding off to bounce off the second apple in the perfect spot. Almost like a puzzle of sorts. You're going through a level a number of times destined to perish as you mentally note cues for the best jump timings!
I just went back to the game page and realized there were little coin-like objects to collect and kinda direct the player to go specific paths, but they don't respawn with the player.
I got to the end of the first level without my super secret powers, to find who I thought was prince charming for whatever reason (even though I read the backstory in the instruction manual, mind you), to him simply saying "Yo, Princess," then murdering me without hesitation was extremely funny.
The first level turning spooky or what not seemed cool, but I spammed fireball and didn't actually see much of the enemies but as corpses.
The pink bouncy things looked fun, but I couldn't find a nice timing so that I didn't have to slow down.
I had fun. Cool stuff. Keep up the great work!
