I didn't get very far since I accidentally jumped out of the level inside the apartment to the right. The idea that you need to give the lost soul an item of importance to bring them back into the body is very cool. I think the game could have benefited from fewer locations with more polish. Like just starting in front of the apartments and then figuring out what the found key is for by calling your friend probably would be enough. The taxi could be introduced afterwards. I also didn't understand why I had to go to a phone booth to speak with the friend but he could talk when picking up an item somewhere else as it seemed the intention was that you yourself have to call the friend to get more information. Though then again, walking back and forth just to check might also be annoying.
Either way, interesting idea and good job making it! Especially for a first game (which I read in the other comments) this is a great start!
A bit too chaotic of a game to really be enjoyable for me, but good job making one nonetheless.
I think having the stage split into both direction equally makes the player feels overwhelmed at first.
I don’t often like using “garbled” voice lines, especially if it’s gonna be used repeatedly like this. Personally I think it feels quite annoying.
Music does a good job of reminding me of old Hong Kong movies though.
thank you for playing through still! if we ever still wanted to continue, we definitely will fix the first loading to have the platform shorter; for voice line, yes, the last scene is a bit annoying because the loading was having error, but it will anyhow being fixed after the voting phase (we have the same annoyance when we replay hhh)
Congratulations on submitting a game to this jam! It's always a really nice work if one can get things done within this short amount of time. I like the overall concept of the game, though it was quite hard to get into. For art I assume you used placeholders for now? They work for game play, but just don't fit together that well. Would have liked to get a little intro on what to actually do within the game itself. Still: Nice job!
Yeah, basically EVERYTHING is a placeholder. It is the very first game we ever did so it was more a learning process than creating a game. But we are happy with the outcome and learned a lot :) Thank you for your comment and idea! :)

It’s clear you put a lot of effort into this, but the graphics are a bit harsh on the eyes, there are too many dialogue lines, and using the arrow keys instead of WASD feels awkward. The parallax effect also needs some work.
I clipped through the world/fell out of bounds and couldn't find a way to restart the game.
Thank you very, very much for your comment and play through! That meant absolutely a lot for us. Absolutely agreed on we have to work more on graphic and restart mechanism (not meant for you to fall off though🙈); Realised we didn't mention was our first ever game made so we will do better in the polished version and upcoming game!
