What would you like feedback on?
Level design, the length (at least compared to the original) and specifically the movement.
What did you update?
"Nosey's Tower Climb" has started out as a Brackeys 2026.1 entry, "this garden has a secret".
"this garden has a secret" was a meta game first with platformer sprinkled on top of it. While updating the original, I've built a whole game on the basis of it, also swapping priorities of its meta and platformer aspects.

This game is amazingly cute. I read the page first before starting and kind of regretted it because the controls were different anyways, and I was forced to sit through the story I had just read anyways (although better executed). The jump mechanic feels very hard to control, once you touch left a little you jump goes left all the way which makes it hard to stick some landings and did eventually make me give up.
The soundscape is lovely, and really complements the cute design. Great spritework, btw! I also really enjoyed the landing page game where you could familiarize yourself with the movement before starting the actual story, and having the settings page be a place you could visit was a nice touch!
The levels were designed very well! You introduce mechanics very naturally without needing explainer text! I do agree however that maybe the movement is a little floaty. Sometimes I would land on a small platform and slide right off
Very fun :D
I really enjoyed this, the only thing I would have liked was if the checkpoints were more clearly marked, because right now there is nothing indicating where the checkpoints are.
The perfect game.
Very solid platformer with nice presentation.
Introduces and explores the mechanics well.
Movement is a bit floaty, it can be slightly difficult to land on one block platforms, but it's not anything serious.
Its biggest crime is that it's very basic and I initially thought "it will run out of steam really fast". Luckily, the levels are designed just right, so the game stays fun until the end.
Not an expert in platformers, but this one was fun! I liked that it was forgiving and very beginner-friendly. There are also nice elements in it like the slowly apart falling bricks. The "cylindrical topology" idea is also nice. You also managed to introduce all the features very well, so that I never was left wondering what is something. There was only one point where I was cursing: When I had landed well on top of the slime in order to kill it (Super Mario style), but it killed *me* instead. X-) Maybe a subtle warning sing there, somewhere ("Do not touch!")? But it's not a big deal, since one never has to repeat a longer passage.
I would polish the graphics a bit, as they are still super simple.
Definitely a fun game, congratulations!
