nice game :) I liked the art and the overall atmosphere
Neat little game. I needed to press fullscreen to see not only a small part of the game. Itchio let's you force the game into fullscreen in the settings of the game, would be an easy fix.
Cool idea! I like that the ghost mode is used to show hidden tiles but it is annoying to fall off hidden tiles you already stand on. Maybe make tiles you stand on visible until you leave tham?
Also, the background was kind of bugged, it only showed up on the upper left edge of the screen.
I really appreciate the inclusion of checkpoints! Without them I could not have beaten the game.
Hope you had fun making the game and keep up the good work!
Thanks for your comment!Yeah I know about this bug already but still thanks for support!
At first I didn’t get how the game was supposed to work since there’s a lack of instructions. It seems there’s some in-game tutorial with the sign but I didn’t know what buttons to press to interact with it. After trying out the keys on my keyboard I found out you’re supposed to press Ctrl to switch to “spirit” mode.
The camera being stuck to the player makes it feel bad to play the game, I’m sorry to say. It’s very jarring when you jump and even more so when it’s suddenly switch place with the spirit mode. You can’t see ahead of the levels so you don’t know what you’re supposed to do. In the second level, where there’s a section of invisible platforms and you basically have to jump blind, the background not moving gives not indication of where you are in the game space so you can’t adjust your jumping mid-air.
Thanks for playing and for the detailed feedback! I really appreciate it.
I agree that the game needs clearer instructions, especially for the Body/Mind controls. I’ll definitely keep these points in mind and improve them.
Thanks again for taking the time to play!
So far my favorite of the swap between mind and body games. Some minor issues to fix: The camera shifts slightly when you go between mind and body. It can be disorienting and hard to track where the tiles are. Also the background in the dark Mountain level only loaded in the top left corner of the display.
Simple but very polished, if i could give some feedback there should be an indicarion of when you get the checkpoint(like a color change to the flag)
Thanks for your feedback!
