Clarifying questions:

- There are people who have used notation software instead of a DAW - would you mind clarifying whether something that is following the spirit of the rules (but not the letter) is allowed?

- Regarding genAI use - is the cover art considered part of the submission?

Yes. The intention of the rule is that participants create the music themselves using composition software. Notation software such as MuseScore, Sibelius, Finale or Dorico is allowed.

About the cover art, the prohibition of AI only concerns the project itself and does not apply to the cover image. However, I highly encourage participants to use non-AI artwork if they are able to do so.
