A pretty good setup all in all! The choose 3/need 2 decisions are particularly good, though I do worry a bit that it takes a lot of specifics and details on the GM’s side to make those pop - this one would really benefit from having another page to expand it out.

The presentation (consistency with fonts, proofreading) could use some fine-tuning. It also wasn’t 100% clear to me in what order the panels of the trifold should be read.

I love how much narrative space there is here, and the replayability is really high. Like others I hadn’t heard of Jovian Despair before but this feels like a really good fit, would love to see a slightly expanded version as others have said but really like the pressed sense of hope here

I wasn't previously aware of Jovian Despair, but can see how this would slot in really easily. Lots of inspiration for scenarios in which difficult decisions need to be made, and negotiations negotiated.

I'd echo that a proofread for v2 would be valuable. It might also be nice to more clearly signpost how different elements alter/extend the setting creation rules to make it easier to pick up and play.

Developer

thank you for the feedback. I heard about Jovian despair only a month or two ago and I found it interesting so I decided to make a adventure for it ! I will be sure to give it a proofread again and see to adapt those rules for a better pick up and play.

Really solid entry! The colony-favor system for resources (food, fuel, medicine) is my favorite part. Also, the fact that you have to bet and choose 2 out of 3 colonies and weigh what each one wants in return creates great tension without much rules overhead. The “something there vs. nothing there” branch and the no-fail misadventure ending both show a lot of care for pacing a real campaign, not just a one-shot.

As a comment, if you do a pass for a V2, a proofread for some typos (there/their, “colonie,” a few others) would help since the writing itself is otherwise really evocative.

Nice work!

Developer

thank you for your time and feedback. a V2 pass is clearly needed and I will see it be done for the updated version after the jam.

This is a fun campaign idea! I like the options presented to the players as to what resources they have to choose.

It seems quite reasonable to run, although  does rely on the GM to come up with the specifics of the actual journey itself. It could probably use more details on the ship itself and the machinery/equipment the players have access to. That would also help in terms of upgrading and maintaining the ship.

I also found the monospaced text a bit hard to read - maybe because of the character spacing? It could also probably benefit from a black-and-white/no background version for printing.

Developer

thanks for the comment and feedback. you mention more details about the machines and equipment they would interact with, do you mean like expanding each individual element (like the radiators, life-support, engine) or more something else ? I will make a black  & white version fore sure.

I meant more along on the lines of general equipment available on the ship - for example do they have a 3D printer for replacement parts, or a store of spare metal?
