A very different take on the theme, You should probably update the game ui and add some sounds in the post jam version, Good Job on the game :D keep working on this after the jam ends
I'm not super familiar with poker, but I really enjoyed this! The visuals and UI look solid, but adding a background shader or some subtle animations similar to balatro would make it pop even more. Great idea and a cool alternative take on Balatro. Well done!
It's pretty much Balatro, sadly I think it's lacking probably the most important thing Balatro does exceptionally well which is player feedback, there's some nice animations here and there but the lack of sound really kills the vibe and it makes me feel like I'm just wasting my life away instead of "Oh yeah! number goes up cha-ching ching!" plus I feel the restriction of having to place a card on each hand first actually negates strategy more than it encourages it. Still, great job with the graphic design! I'm sure it took plenty of time to make!
deck games are not my type but it was fun to play!
maybe more polish like sfx , good ui !
even though deck games are not my type of game, i still really liked it :)
love the style
Nice game! So, I'm not super familiar with casino style games, but I really enjoyed the visual and overall vibe. Thanks for the tutorial, even though card games still go over my head :)
This game is like a balatro with a twist. It is really really well made and balanced for a game made in a 4 days game jam. I finds the strongest strategy is to focusing on buiding pairs but later on it become a bit hard as sometimes you are forced to get 3 of a kind or 2 pairs. Great game tho!
Love the core idea (love some balatro type games) and that you did it in godot as well. I agree with the other commentor that sound would do a lot for you too but still love it.
From a balance perspective, I feel like I was personally frustrated with not having more choice in where to distribute cards since every 4th move is forced/not being able to put 2 cards in one spot before putting 1 card in all felt like it limited my strategic options too much, but I still found it very addictive overall.
Great game! I just wish it had music and sound effects, but good job overall.
Good theme integration. Easy to understand as i'm quite a fan of strategy game like these. Could benefit for some sound and feedback motion.
But other than that, good job !
it's literally unbeatable round 6 onwards. Like the rng is too bad regardless how good multipliers you have. Concept is good thought 8/10. You could have added a good track too. But that's just personal opinion. I feel like a poker game should have music :D
