Pay: $4-15/hr USD to start, raises with performance. 40 hrs/week,
flexible hours, fully async. Remote .
Independent contractor, long-term across multiple games.
We're a small indie studio. Our first anime-style visual novel /
raising-sim PC game is finished and about to launch; more games
(including an AI-video-driven title) are already in development.
We're hiring a long-term QA teammate — the studio grows, you grow
with it.
What you'll do:
- Play the full game on your Windows PC following a test plan
(16-week sim: schedules, routes, endings) — find bugs, soft-locks,
anything confusing
- Write clear bug reports in English using our template
(screenshots + steps to reproduce)
- Verify each patch before release (regression checklist with
prepared save files)
- Review batches of AI-generated art against a quality checklist
and pick the best versions
- Proofread English game text
- Later: player-community support (forum replies, collecting player
bug reports)
Requirements: fluent written English; Windows PC + stable internet
(backup plan for outages); detail-oriented and patient with
repetitive testing; reliable weekly availability. An eye for anime
art (can tell on-model from off-model) is a plus; Stable Diffusion
familiarity is a plus but NOT required. Projects may include
mature-themed, age-restricted fictional material; applicants must be
legally eligible and comfortable working with such content. Full
project details are shared at first contact before any assessment.
To apply: a short note about your game/VN experience + one example
of a bug you found in any game and how you'd report it + weekly
availability + desired rate.
Apply by replying here or DM.
