Description
End credits music for a fictional game called Time Gears. I did up to level 4. Just ran out of time or it would be much more and longer!
In this world, the ruins of a forgotten fantasy age lie buried beneath the cities of the present. Long ago, magic shaped civilization, and humanity learned to combine that magic with technology. Progress came swiftly. In their pursuit of power and discovery, they created machines far beyond their understanding, and the world was nearly destroyed by its own creations. Centuries later, civilization has begun to rebuild among the ruins. Magic has faded into legend, while remnants of the old technology still turn beneath the earth. Society now exists somewhere between the two ages. Humanity is still struggling to survive, not only against the remnants of the technology that nearly destroyed them, but against one another. Yet there are those who believe the old world does not have to repeat its mistakes. They seek to rebuild a peaceful society.

Great one ! I like that the music is kind of revolving around that music box melody and it goes crescendo then goes back to the beginning. Love that piano at 0:34 with a triplet rythm, it gives the sensation of a polyrythm music with the music box that I'm fond of.
One of the finest in this music jam !
I really like the feeling of mixed instruments with the music box + synth beginning, only stretching further as the track progresses.
The end at 1:44 feels a little like a fake-out - you are leading into more, basically promising the main attraction to start and then it's just another round of the music box and we're done.
Despite the obvious time constraints (that you also mentioned), the listener gets a pretty good idea how this piece would develop if it were to be developed further. Very nice.
I thought this was great and definitely fit the vibe you described. I loved that low synth below that higher main melody, it put a menacing feeling underneath the nostalgic tone you set with the bell-like melody. I loved the ticking clock in there as well for percussion, and tying into the theme. My only criticism, and I think it's because you mentioned running out of time, is that it doesn't quite build enough for me at the end, I think it could get slightly bigger. That's a small subjective thing though, Nice job!

The sound selection is incredible and melancholic, which fits the description of your idea of "Time Gears". The composition is wonderful as well, enhancing the overall enjoyment I had while listening to the song!
I only have one criticism and it is to watch the treble frequencies. Because of human hearing perception, higher frequency sounds are more louder to the ear, so I would watch out for that because I noticed several elements of the song that sounded incredibly piercing in the treble. You could apply a limiter to the high end on the elements, or simply decrease the velocities of the higher notes so that they balance out.

Really nice track ! I like the way you represented time and nostalgia, it works so well. It's hard for me to find criticismto say about it haha, I just like it the way it is (especially for the very short time that you had). In the future tho, if you want to push it further, maybe it would be nice to add even more variety with different little sounds here and there but you already delivered a great job with the emotional feeling of it in my opinion ! 🧙♂️ Well done !
