I agree Castle 1 was a bit too easy but I like to hand people a few free "wins" out of the gate and was hoping that the introduction of the 2x speed option would give folks looking for a bit more challenge an option to do so and also speed through the "tutorial"
I agree I think I'll retune the audio leveling and also include a setting menu (probably a gear on the top right of the gameboy or a menu from main screen) to adjust the sfx vs music volumes.
